William Seabrook was searching for a new job online when he stumbled across FranchiseSolutions.com. Self employment was something he had dreamt of for many years but never thought possible until he began to research franchise ownership as a means to fulfill this dream.
When William began his search, he researched many companies that met his financial and experience requirements. “My intent was to gather information on low-cost start-up businesses. With few opportunities for employment in South Carolina, I felt it was time to widen my search to include starting a business,” William continued, “I knew that providing a service to the public is what I wanted to do. With that in mind, I looked for inexpensive startups that did not take a large amount of time to start. ” After inquiring to ten companies, conducting his due diligence and speaking to franchisees, he decided to buy a NOVUS Auto Glass Repair & Replacement franchise. William commented, “While there were many opportunities, Novus was the best fit for me.”
As the Owner/Technician of his own Novus Auto Glass Repair & Replacement franchise, William says he works long hours but he enjoys the rewards and satisfaction he had not experienced in previous jobs. While William’s experience had been mainly in warehousing, there are skills that he has developed along the way that he now considers strengths, including negotiating price and making sales pitches. While William began franchise ownership with solid business skills and a great work ethic, franchising is a great way to enter business ownership with a built-in team of experienced professionals working side by side with you. “The training Novus provides is great. I enjoyed every minute. The experience was like learning a trade with friends who are subject matter experts. I felt well prepared to begin after leaving training,” William continued, “I can call marketing or training and get support quickly.” And when asked if he would recommend this opportunity…“I would recommend Novus to anyone who is mechanically inclined, likes to work outside, and wants to be their own boss.”
