PETERSBURG, FLORIDA) – April 5, 2007 – Bob King, Founder of Ident-A-Kid, the first and largest child safety franchise system announced today the appointment of Lonnie Helgerson, CFE as President and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Ident-A-Kid, Helgerson was the Founder and CEO of Expetec Technology Services, Computer Doctor Franchise Systems, Inc. and most recently Helgerson Franchise Group, Inc.
“I am thrilled to be leading Ident-A-Kid, as we have a strong base of successful franchisees and a 21 year old proven concept” Helgerson said. “I have spent the last few months developing a vision and a plan for Ident-A-Kid called IDK 2010. The objective of IDK 2010 is to more than double the size of our brand throughout the US over the next 3-5 years. Additionally, we will be expanding Ident-A-Kid Internationally later in 2007.”
Helgerson is active in the franchise community and serves on the Board of Advisors for the International Institute for Franchise Education, H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and committees of the International Franchise Association. Additionally, he is a Certified Franchise Executive, a member of the Florida Association of Franchisors.
