1. Western Sizzlin - A traditional family steakhouse
The first Western Sizzlin family steakhouse was born in 1962. From the beginning our operating philosophy was simply to offer attractive restaurants in high-traffic locations that serve great steaks at a great price. It’s a philosophy that has helped us grow to more than 100 restaurants in 19 states.
Our family steakhouse operation addresses the simple fact that beef is the number one meal preference holding a 35 percent share of the market. Beef demand has increased 20 percent since 1998 and is now over 60 pounds per person each year in the United States.
Each of our steakhouses offer a minimum of ten different steak choices for our customers.
In addition, we have chicken and seafood entrees and our buffet and bakery sections appeal to everyone including vegetarians.
Our extended menu captures valuable lunch business in addition to dinner crowds, creating dual mealtime opportunities under one roof.
2. Wood Grill Buffet = Full service buffet
In 1996, a new restaurant concept was folded in to the Western Sizzlin family and in 1997, our first full-service restaurant buffet opened. That first Wood Grill Buffet has gone on to become the highest volume store in sales in the entire Western Sizzlin system.
