We define ourselves as Physical Security Specialists because while we are extremely competent when it comes to rekeying locks or installing door hardware, our teams can also implement full card access systems, complete with security cameras, if desired. We can also complete a thorough security assessment of a client's home or building's security by adjusting door closers, exit devices and ensuring handicap operators are in compliance with laws and regulations.

Franchise Overview

FlyLock Security Systems has been in business for over 70 years. It began with William McMenimon Sr., working out of his Jeep with one key machine in 1946. He was training to become a pilot and working as a locksmith, hence FlyLock Security Systems’ name. When William retired, he passed the business down to his sons; Barry and Brad. Barry’s sons, Brett and Barry P, have also joined the leadership team, infusing the well-established family business with a passion for the convenience of modern technology.

The combination of generations has created a blend of old-school ideals and new age tech, resulting in a mix that offers the newest products with a friendly neighborly smile. The mission of the company is simple: provide top of the line security, utilizing all means of communication, while staying true to family values.

Franchise Development

FlyLock Security Systems franchise development is spearheaded by Dennis Mulgannon, who successfully launched Junk King and Home Care Assistance into national brands. Our franchise model is adaptable as an owner-operator model, a transitional model from another career, or a straight ROI model with a General Manager in place running the day-to-day. We are seeking prospects looking to scale a business and manage a P & L versus working in the field. We have a national call center that manages all prospective customer inquiries through a toll-free number. We can then educate the customer about our services, give estimates when appropriate, and schedule and route jobs through our centralized process.

FlyLock Security Systems is an all-inclusive security provider. We offer services ranging from simple locks and keys, all the way to card access systems, full door replacements, panic devices, door closers, and fully integrated master key systems. We pride ourselves on our ability to provide incredibly fast service, while maintaining a friendly, family-like atmosphere in our call center and on jobsites.

On the surface, locksmithing appears to be an antiquated trade, but it is an industry that can produce steady and attractive margins. The industry is populated with numerous “Mom and Pop” operators, who often do not adapt to the technological changes found in our business. Our focus on technology keeps us on the leading edge of the industry.

Target Customers

90% of our business is Commercial with the remainder being Residential (traditionally what we “think” of as a Locksmith, e.g. locked out of home or keys locked in a car).
