Meet Janice Branam
My name is Janice Branam, and I’ve supported franchisees for 30 years. With a background in operations and training, I’ve trained franchisees on how to open their business, build and train teams, and manage daily operations. I founded The Franchise Bridge Builder to help you bridge your previous career with your new franchise opportunity. Franchising isn’t just about food—it can involve automotive, childcare/education, fitness, pets, senior care, and more!

The IFPG 4-Step Matching Process
Step 1: Information Gathering
Most ventures, whether business or personal, are more successful when the right questions are asked before they’re launched. During the Information Gathering stage, you’ll discuss your goals, funding options, previous experience, and personal and business preferences. Everyone is unique, and you owe it to yourself to work with someone trained to ask insightful questions and listen closely to your answers. The goal of Step 1 is to gather enough information to move on to Step 2.
Step 2: Researching Your Options
Once we’ve discussed your aspirations and resources, we’ll start researching and contacting franchisors on your behalf. As trained franchise professionals, we have access to resources, tools, and experience that streamline the process. When we identify 2 to 4 franchises that meet your criteria, we’ll move on to Step 3.
Step 3: Discussing Your Potential Future Business
Many clients enjoy this step, as you’ll hear about the franchises that may be a good fit for you. We’ll discuss the attributes of these franchise models and why we believe they’re worth exploring further. Together, we’ll revisit your goals and explore how these franchises align with them.
Step 4: Speaking with Your Future Franchise Partner – The Franchisor
Once we’ve identified franchises that excite you and seem like a good fit, we’ll arrange for you to speak with them directly. This is an exciting step where you’ll learn about the business model, daily activities of franchisees, startup requirements, and growth potential.
