While he maintains his successful career owning and operating full-service restaurants, Chef Garces is also looking toward the future. He has increased his focus on bringing restaurant-quality experiences to the homes and businesses of culinary enthusiasts in new and interesting ways. As a child of immigrants and a leader in the diverse and inclusive hospitality industry, the wellbeing of his community in Philadelphia has always been dear to Chef Garces’ heart. To help provide ongoing and actionable assistance to the immigrant community, Chef Garces co-founded The Garces Foundation in 2011. The Garces Foundation provides services including community health days, English language skills classes that target the restaurant industry, and most recently, an increased focus on procuring and providing food supplies to the food insecure.

In Baja, Buena Onda means “Good Vibes.” Our kitchen here has gathered good vibes from the many seafood shacks, taquerias, Panga fisherman, and farmers who have sustained themselves for generations by respecting the sea, cultivating year-round produce in Baja’s rich soil, and sharing ingredient driven dishes with family and friends.



We assist franchisees through a systematic site selection and lease procurement process. Our internal team of experts coupled with knowledgeable retail real estate brokers in the local market assist with site identification, site evaluation, letter of intent submittal, lease negotiations and lease review. Our goal is to identify the best site in the market that meets specific Buena Onda criteria while offering a favorable lease structure.


We offer assistance through an efficient design and a strategic construction process. Our knowledgeable staff of project managers, coupled with a network of professional consultants, will work closely with you to develop creative alterations and design configurations to adapt to opportunity space requirements.
